We believe we are one moving part in a giant network of activity that functions as one whole. As a part of this system we have a responsibilty to ensure that we are maintaining our side of the deal. To us, this means being as renewably minded as possible that we dont overstep our boundaries and tip the system out of balance. We can help support a beautiful system by doing lots of things, one of the simplest ways is to compost our food waste and other paper goods that are compostable, rather than sending them to the landfill in air tight trash bags.. When we do this with our compostable waste, which is up to 50% of all of our household waste, we are fueling Earths natural system of rebuilding and recycling its materials to continue the circle of life. Instead of it all going to a landfill where it will not decompose properly, your scraps will fulfill their destiny, become amazing soil fertilization and provide food for microbes and bugs creating an immensly healthy ecosystem which promotes health and abundance on all sides! When food scraps are placed inside of trash bags and then buried at the landfill, they are placed in an anaerobic environment, which prevents proper decomposition and promotes methane production, causing more global warming and climate change. Why are we doing this?? We intentionally make more work for ourselves and for nature by adding steps to the natural decompostion process.. At least half of our waste does not need to be put in bags and buried! In fact, this is the opposite of what is needed. This is where we come in! What is needed to slowly transition away from this waste DISPOSAL system in which we have trapped ourselves, is a new perspective on our waste. What we require, is a waste RENEWAL system. Karma Pharma are waste renewal experts, and give new meaning the phrase “One mans trash is another mans treasure.” When i see unwanted veggie and fruit cuttings, or debris from yard work and cosmetic plant pruning, i see the potential of abundant life.
