Micro greens are essentially baby plants. It’s an amazing fact that these tiny plants, typically only two to three weeks in age, are packed full of nutrients and minerals! In multiple scientific study’s a wide variety of micro greens were found to contain up to 40 times the amount of nutrients as their mature phases. It’s during this stage of their growth that we harvest them and deliver directly to your doorstep, ready to be consumed! Microgreens can be consumed in many ways. Cut them and drop them right on top of a salad, bowl of soup, stir fry, sandwich, juice them or add them to a smoothy! Each has a unique taste and appearance to add some variety to your healthy diet.

Broccoli

Sulforaphane is your friend!! Broccoli Microgreens are packed full of an anti-cancer compound known as Sulforaphane. Despite their small size, the greens contain up to 40 times the amount of nutrients as the mature crowns! Amazing! Sulforaphane works in several ways against cancer, including reducing the number and size of various types of cancer cells and making it harder for cancer cells to multiply.  Sulforaphane also facilitates the release of antioxidants and detoxifying enzymes that neutralize known cancer-causing elements such as benzene. It binds to a protein within the cells and in the process catalyzes the production of enzymes that help the cells resist toxic and carcinogenic substances. Sulforaphane is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. So many diseases and disorders are a result of overly inflamed tissues within our bodies! Red Russian Kale

Red Russian Kale Microgreens are amazing. They have a nice, mild and nutty flavor. Some of the nutritional facts from them:

Contains Vitamins A, B, C, E and K

Calcium, Iron (**More Iron than beef per calorie**), Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc

Purple stem Radish

Flavor is floral with a spicy kick.

Red Garnet Amaranth

Amaranth (both seeds and leaves) is packed with thiamine, niacin, calcium, potassium, iron, manganese, zinc, and copper, and its leaves are a good source of vitamins A and C and folate. As well, its seeds are a great source of dietary fiber.

Sunflower

A quarter cup of sunflower microgreens contains about 200 calories. That same quarter cup contains about 16 grams of fat. Sunflower microgreens are a great source of calcium and iron. The greens are actually a perfect source of complete protein. In fact, they are a very balanced source of essential amino acids, helping to repair muscle tissue and aid in enzymatic functions in the body. Sunnies are also high in B vitamins, especially folate.

Organic Purple Vienna Kohlrabi

Purple kohlrabi is an excellent source of vitamin C, providing 69% of the recommended daily allowance per 100g of microgreens.

They’re also high in fiber and contain a good amount of vitamin B-complex groups such as vitamin B1, B2, B3, and B-6. Lastly, it’s a great source of minerals such as Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Zink.

Organic Daikon Radish

What sets radish microgreens apart is their nutritional profile. Despite their tiny size, they are packed with nutrients. They are rich in vitamins A, B, C, E, and K and minerals like potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and magnesium. They also contain essential amino acids and are a good source of fiber. Moreover, radish microgreens are rich in antioxidants, compounds that help protect your cells against damage by free radicals.
